Premier terroir classé Grand Cru en Alsace en 1975, renommé dès le 15e siècle, le Schlossberg est cultivé en terrasses entre 280 m et 400 m d’altitude, sur substrat granitique migmatique.

Providing from old vines  situated in the middle of the  hill, our Riesling is fine, with  a richly floral bouquet, delicate and distinguished, fresh and mineral.

GROUND :

Granitic. South exposure

GRAPE-VARIETY :

Riesling.

WINE-HARVEST :

By hand with selective picking.

WINE-MAKING :

Natural yeast, long maturing on the fine lees during 11 months in large oak barrels.

BOTTLE AGEING :

5 to 15 years.

WINE TASTING :

Fine nose of fruits, citrus aromas, zest. In the mouth it is dry, has a good power with an elegant and fine acidity and gustatory persistency.

EXAMPLES OF COURSES :

Excellent seafood , grilled fish, fish in a sauce, white meat...

The alcohol abuse is dangerous for health. To consume with moderation.
