Situated in Katzenthal, between 280 and 400 metres, wellknown since the 13th century this hill is particularly appropriated for the culture of the vine.
Granitic soil, south-east exposed, steep slope protected from the wind, it is a terroir where the Riesling finds naturally its place.
Our Riesling is aromatic and pure (flower and citrus aromas), with a nice acidity , minerality and good length.
The Wineck Castle (12th century), situated in the middle of the Grand Cru is the only one in Alsace entirely surrounded by vineyards.
